Communications Specialist

Primary Purpose of Job

Supports ASB's communications plan through internal and external messaging to ensure effective communication and build brand reputation.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Develops clear, consistent and relevant content for a variety of communication channels, including: company intranet, bank-wide emails, digital newsletters, press releases, videos, digital signage, social media, etc.
• Partners cross-functionally to elevate teammate experience through effective communication initiatives tied to teammate feedback and engagement priorities.
• Organizes and executes events and activities that support ASB's vision and culture and enhance employee engagement and collaboration.
• Provides communications support to boost ASB's Community Impact initiatives and programs.
• Monitors, measures and reports on the effectiveness of communication and engagement initiatives and develops recommendations for continuous improvement.

Experience Required

Minimum one (1) year of the following experience:

• Internal or external communications role in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills or Training

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and editing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and social media platforms
• Strong project management abilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Resourceful, self-starter with critical thinking skills.
• Graphic design and digital media experience are a plus.
