The Product Strategy team is looking to kick Salesforce's growth engine to an even higher gear. The Product Strategy team has the unique responsibility of helping the executive leadership team, Chief Product Officer, and product leadership teams with plans for the next wave of product bets to drive organic and inorganic growth. We are looking for a Senior Manager of Product Strategy to join our team to help build winning strategies with product leadership for the entire Salesforce portfolio. About the role

This position will report to the Senior Director of Product Strategy, and will support product teams:

Define and Execute Product Strategies

  • Develop and propose disruptive product strategies that address key customer challenges and drive disproportionate business value.

  • Inform product development roadmaps by partnering with product leaders across the portfolio to deliver against strategic plans.

  • Create financial models to forecast revenue, define key performance metrics, and build business cases for new opportunities.

  • Support Technology & Product Leaders in presenting insights and summaries of our strategic plans to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors, effectively summarizing complex information for senior leadership.

Product Portfolio and Investment Recommendations

  • Analyze product performance from a portfolio-level perspective, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation and investment across the entire product portfolio.

  • Inform strategic trade-offs and guide senior leadership on resource allocation to maximize long-term growth and profitability.

M&A

  • Support the M&A process, collaborating with Corporate Development, Product, Technology, and Go-to-Market teams.

  • Support the due diligence process by articulating the product strategy, defining the deal thesis, and modeling potential synergies to evaluate the strategic fit and potential value of acquisition targets.

  • Help to drive alignment across Technology and Product leadership during the evaluation of potential acquisition targets.

Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Act as an industry and market expert, staying current on the latest trends and providing strategic insights into opportunities in existing and new markets.

  • Conduct in-depth research on competitive products and business strategies to identify unique value propositions and sustainable market advantages.

Required Skills / Experience

  • 4 - 5 years experience in management consulting, product management, or internal product/corporate strategy, ideally at a large enterprise software company.

  • Quick study who can apply lessons from different industries and products to the situation at hand.

  • Ability and desire to dig into databases and produce insights on current situations, new opportunities, and product performance.

  • Hands-on financial analysis and modeling, adept with reporting tools and Excel in all its glory.

  • Market research, both qualitative and quantitative. Experience running workstreams.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across Salesforce to achieve results.

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Master's degree preferred.

The typical base salary range for this position is $150,100 - $227,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $180,200 - $247,900 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
