Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Night Driver Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed, driving patrol post supporting a residential community. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, and document observations clearly. You will deliver strong customer service to residents and guests while communicating with dispatch and site contacts. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and document observations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports, maintain required armed post equipment in accordance with policy, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or the client representative.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
