Associate Research Finance Analyst MED-CORE-GERI Part Time 88146BR Job Summary The Division of Geriatrics is seeking a part-time Associate Research Finance Analyst to support approximately 10-15 Principal Investigators (PIs) in all pre- and post- award functions in research administration. Reporting directly to the Division Manager (DM), with guidance from the Senior Finance Specialist (Senior RFA), the Associate RFA will work closely with PIs and their research teams on pre- award administrative functions/processes, support post-award contracts and grants management,budget, financial audits, ledger/payroll reconciliation and reviews, as well as support the DM and Senior RFA in various finance-related ad hoc projects. The Associate RFA is an important contributing member of the Division Core Administrative Team who will work independently to ensure financial compliance for all activities under their purview. The Associate RFA is often a first point of contact for PIs and will work with all levels of stakeholders within and outside of the Division to ensure PIs receive full and comprehensive support. They will track approximately 30-40 budgets of moderate scope and complexity, and will be responsible for tracking up to $4 million dollars in annual direct costs. Specific tasks for this role may include: maintaining contracts and grants records, updating and sharing budget status reports (BSRs), meeting with PIs to plan budgets, where needed - updating documents for grant proposals (particularly for proposals through NCIRE and SFVAHCS), reviewing, approving and correcting financial transactions, preparing grant reports and prior approval requests, working directly with sponsors on grant communications, staying updated on all finance-related trainings, serving on finance workgroups, as well as interpreting and explaining grant policies.
