Job Description




As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Enfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to issues as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service at an educational location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, provide directions and assistance to students, staff, and guests, and report concerns through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift pass-downs, and communicate observations to oncoming personnel and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
