Primarily responsible to repair, maintain, and perform routine maintenance on production equipment, plant utilities, plant service equipment, building, ground, etc. There is a large amount of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical work required. Perform electrical troubleshooting, read electrical diagrams and symbols. Able to read advanced electrical schematics. Must be able to read P& ID drawings, use handheld voltage meter, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc. Responsible for installing special functional and structural parts in devices. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentation. Maintains and repairs air compressors, air dryers, gas systems, alarm system, water and vacuum systems, etc. Follows Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensures that the records for such are properly documented. Install hydraulic systems, assemble hydraulic equipment, and perform preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair hydraulic equipment, including pumps, motors, and related parts. Read blueprints and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Complete required documentation for testing and repairs and keep records of all work. Must be well rounded maintenance person and must have knowledge and experience in areas of troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical motion control components. Actively participate and support the plant's safety program. Report any injury or near miss immediately to your Group Lead or EHS Manager. Report on all unsafe conditions immediately to a Group Lead, Value Stream Manager or EHS Manager. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisles free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed. Actively participate in the High-Performance Team designated for your area. The HPTs are meant to improve the work experience by allowing the employees an opportunity to offer suggestions for improvement. Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment, educate and train equipment operators to perform routine maintenance. Record accurate and timely data, including order completions and quantity on daily labor reports, reclaim tickets, for rejected parts and daily hours worked. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical or trade publications, and/or participating in professional associations. Investigates and resolves compliance problems and maintains required documentation. Shares specialized knowledge with others. Represents company on specific projects. Mentors new employees. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement). Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary other duties as assigned.
Education: A bachelor's degree (BS) preferred, associate's degree or technical school is required or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field. Years Experience : 4-6 years in relevant experience
- Must have experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Forklift Certification or other mobile equipment such as scissor lifts and jenny booms are preferred.
