Production Woodworker  (All levels) 


Summary 


We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Production Woodworker to join our team. This 
role involves crafting, assembling, and finishing wood products using hand tools, power tools, 
and woodworking machinery. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a passion for 
craftsmanship, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 


1. Punctual and maintain good attendance. 
2. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, or work orders 
3. Select appropriate wood types and materials based on project specifications 
4. Operate woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, sanders, drills, CNC routers) 
5. Cut, shape, and assemble wood components with precision 
6. Apply adhesives, fasteners, and finishes such as stains or lacquers 
7. Inspect products for defects and ensure quality standards are met 
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols 
9. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines 
Soft Skills 
1. Demonstrates effective time management. 
2. Self-motivated and able to work well independently. 
3. Professional interactions with all people both here and in the field on job sites. 
4. Willing to be cross trained 
5. Detail Oriented 
6. Works well in a team environment 

 

Qualifications 

1. High school diploma or equivalent 
2. Prior experience in woodworking or carpentry preferred, but not required 
3. Familiarity with woodworking tools and machinery 
4. Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately 
5. Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina 
6. Knowledge of wood types, finishes, and adhesives 
7. Commitment to safety and quality control 

Shift

1st Shift:  4 - 9 hour workdays (Monday - Thursday), 4 hour workday on Friday mornings.  Overtime hours may also be available depending on Business / Project Requirements and Needs.


Work Environment 

Requires use of PPE (e.g., safety glasses, ear protection, dust masks).  Workshop or factory setting with exposure to wood dust, noise, and machinery.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
