Position Summary:
The Resident Cafe Coordinator coordinates the Connections Cafe activities and volunteers, approves and submits food and supply orders, collects and submits meal donations, ensures program requirements are met and fosters a friendly atmosphere with participants and volunteers. This is a lunch program and required hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 1:00pm.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $17.40 to $20.96 per hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

Position Responsibilities include:



  • Assumes or coordinates the Cafe tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Functions as host/hostess to promote a welcoming environment.
  • Organizes and coordinates the daily service of meals at the designated time
  • Completes a required 100N form on every new senior participant and submits this information to the Meals on Wheels office.
  • Plans and offers additional activities to increase the socialization aspects of the program.
  • Coordinates and supervises the meal reservation system to ensure the efficient serving of meals to participating seniors.
  • Supervises and accounts for the daily receipt of donations and distributes meal tickets.


Qualifications

Education:
High school diploma preferred. Must have the ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.

Job Knowledge:
Must know how to meet and greet the public, both in person as well as by telephone.

The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen.
