We are seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Gulf Shores area to support mission-critical systems for the United States Navy and Military Sealift Command. This role provides hands-on technical oversight across the full maintenance lifecycle-from depot-level repair to forward-deployed mission support in operational environments. The Field Service Engineer works directly on complex systems that matter, traveling extensively both domestically and internationally to ensure readiness, reliability, and performance where it counts. You will provide exceptional customer service in the areas of field rework, repair, installation, troubleshooting, start-up and retrofitting of Trident Maritime Systems - Heavy Equipment Group equipment. Ideal candidates bring strong troubleshooting capability, field adaptability, and the ability to operate independently in high-stake environments.

MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Provide exceptional customer service as defined by the customer.
  • Solicit aftermarket opportunities on behalf of Trident Maritime Systems- Heavy Equipment Group working closely with Program Managers.
  • Determine root cause of field equipment failures and provide recommended corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Coordinate actions required by other functional departments listed above to complete field
  • warranty and service work in a timely manner.
  • Perform most practical and economical rework and repairs to customer's satisfaction.
  • Perform field warranty and field service installation, repair, and start-up at customer site.
  • Assure the validity of customer warranty claims and determine responsibility.
  • Provide electronic condition found reports and field reports, which serve as objective evidence of customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years "hands on" experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems preferably in the defense industry.
  • Global Travel requires at least 60% travel or more to customer sites; short notice travel may be required.
  • Good communication skills
