Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. You will support staff, patients, and visitors while documenting activity and working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity. This post requires an Armed Guard Card and/or license.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Perform armed patrol duties, maintaining a professional and controlled presence in accordance with licensing, training, and post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, complete required reports, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
