Department OverviewThe Primary Data Team in IT is the central organization responsible for the governance, quality, and maintenance of our company's most critical data assets. We act as the single source of truth for core business entities like customer, product, and supplier data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all enterprise systems. Our team establishes and enforces data standards, defines data ownership, and implements the necessary tools and processes to cleanse, enrich, and manage primary data throughout its lifecycle. By providing a clean, reliable, and integrated foundation of data, we empower the entire organization to make informed decisions, operate more efficiently, and drive key business initiatives, from digital transformation to advanced analytics. Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to help us deliver a global, single source of truth for Product Data. This role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for translating complex business requirements into technical specifications. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the technical engineering team, ensuring that our new Product Data platform captures every nuance of the product lifecycle and that data quality remains uncompromised across the enterprise.

Functional Requirements & Data Governance

  • Requirements Elicitation: Lead discovery workshops with diverse business units to gather, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements for the Product Data Hub.

  • Data Modeling Support: Partner with Data Architects to define product hierarchies, attributes, and taxonomies that meet both local business needs and global standards.

  • Business Rule Definition: Document and maintain complex business logic, validation rules, and transformation requirements for product data entry and distribution.

  • Standardization: Identify opportunities to harmonize disparate data definitions across business units into a unified "Golden Record" standard.

Systems Analysis & Technical Translation

  • Source-to-Target Mapping: Develop and maintain comprehensive data mapping documents, including transformation logic and look-up tables for downstream consumption.

  • Gap Analysis: Perform detailed "As-Is" vs. "To-Be" functional analysis to identify where the new platform may require configuration changes or where business processes must adapt.

  • Data Profiling: Identify anomalies, duplicates, and quality issues that must be remediated prior to migration.

  • Technical Liaison: Translate business requirements into detailed User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for the development team in an Agile environment.

Quality Assurance & Business Readiness

  • Test Strategy: Support the creation of the functional test plan for migration waves, ensuring that data integrity is maintained through the ETL pipeline.

  • UAT Facilitation: Lead the business through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), serving as the first line of defense for functional questions and defect triaging.

  • Documentation: Support the creation of end-user training materials and system documentation to ensure business users can navigate the new Product Primary environment effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years specifically within Data Management (MDM), Product Information Management (PIM), or large-scale Data Warehouse projects.

  • Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to deconstruct complex legacy processes and re-engineer them for a modern data architecture.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders clearly.

Target Base Salary Range:$125,000 USD - $140,000 USD
