Join Johns Hopkins Medicine as an Executive Director of Digital Strategy & Experience. We are seeking a proven visionary and results oriented leader who will be responsible for developing and executing stratgies that improve digital interactions of patients, providers, and other users with a healthcare organization. This leader will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing Johns Hopkins Medicine's digital marketing transformation into a consumer-centered digital front door. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the digital landscape, including online, offline, social, and emerging channels, and the underlying systems that support them.

What You Bring:

This senior leader will be fluent in web and digital strategies and supporting technological infrastructure, and will oversee a cross-functional team to drive innovation, improve customer engagement, and enhance operational efficiency through the integration of digital solutions and advanced technologies.



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications or related field, required. Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, digital strategy, customer experience, or related fields, including 5-7 years of management experience with significant business impact.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Broader digital marketing experience in agency and/or other non-healthcare industries preferred.
  • Significant digital marketing core expertise, including Digital experience and digital strategy within healthcare.
  • Grounded in regulatory constraints associated with privacy, accessibility, and other areas of compliance scrutiny.
  • Understanding of broad marketing technology environment and clear vision for how to build best-in-class capabilities.
  • Experience identifying and evaluating new technologies for innovative solutions and process improvement, with demonstrated experience or strong interest in AI applications within marketing.
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as user experience and digital platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with web development processes, digital UX/UI, and other digital platforms.
  • Experience identifying, developing, and bringing to market new ideas, products, services, processes, or business models and to develop and execute high-level plans.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex strategies to executive teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and digital transformation.
  • Data-driven decision maker, capable of analyzing performance metrics and making strategic adjustments.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Self-starter; able to operate independently to drive change in the digital marketing space.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.

Salary Range: Minimum 234,911.00/annually - Maximum 300,284.00/annually. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
