Job Description




As a Security Guard - Retail Foot Patrol in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to customer needs with clear, professional communication. You will support store teams by observing activity, reporting concerns, and assisting with incident response. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards, then communicate observations to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision and complete required written and/or electronic reports.
  • Support store operations by providing a visible presence, assisting customers with directions and general questions, and controlling access to restricted areas according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
