Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Gate Driver in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a professional visitor and employee experience. You will communicate clearly, document security-related observations, and work as part of a team that acts with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and you will bring reliability, agility, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing badges and/or passes, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized traffic to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, radios, cameras, and/or access control systems; report irregular conditions and help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or damage to property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuations, and coordinating with site management and emergency services as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs such as incident reports, access activity, and shift documentation; communicate key information during shift turnovers and/or via established reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
