General Description
The Hospitalist Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital is a group of more than 60 faculty, 9 APPs, and 5-6 support staff embedded within the Department of Medicine. The group's mission includes patient care, education, research, and clinical administration. Scope of Clinical Activities You will be expected to be scheduled on clinical service for 97 13-hours night time shifts per annum, including holidays. Your clinical activities are anticipated to be primarily performed at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and will consist of a combination of inpatient services for post-procedure cardiac patients, general cardiology patients, renal transplant patients, lung transplant patients, and may include patients being treated with CAR-T therapy for non-oncology diagnoses. You will be fully dedicated to clinical activity during your one-year appointment. Key Responsibilities:

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
