Position Summary

This is a combined practical and strategic position that involves establishing technical strategy, defining enterprise architectures and leading architecture roadmaps for Enterprise Mobility and End User compute solutions from a technology perspective.The position provides technical guidance and training to the implementation teams, serves as technology and best practices evangelist and ensures that implementations follow the finest of implementation standards and principles.



This position advises technical management and business areas on key architectural decisions regarding platforms and supporting technologies for Enterprise Mobility and End User Services.


This position produces technical, and reference architectures are scalable, maintainable, dependable, secure, and meet user digital experience requirements.This position represents the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) organization across CPS Energy and works across the company to deliver mobility and end user solutions, including providing continuity on major solution decisions, communicating technology solution value across all levels of the company and ensuring solutions are implemented according to the defined solution architecture and technical standards. Workforce mobility and end user technology roadmaps and governance are focus areas for this position.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working in concert with domain subject matter experts to conceptualize, plan, design and implement end user compute, mobility and related architectures that support the organizational strategies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to perform product management, system engineering, and integration of mobile technologies into end-to-end client solution initiatives.
  • Leverage knowledge of mobility architectures across many mobile technologies, IT standards, and applications through proof-of-concept development to production deployment.
  • Develops and maintains the strategic vision and roadmap for all end user software, hardware, patches and interoperability across all platforms including E-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, et.al
  • Works with business leaders and IT professionals to define the organization's technology strategies, processes, and selection of information technology assets for all end user tools.
  • Creates documents that use multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
  • Responsible for defining and implementing architecture that supports the most efficient and secure IT environment aligning with business goals related to End User Computing
  • Research and share end user technology trends and market indicators.
  • Align end user strategies with business goals, provide guidance and consultation to IT and business leaders on projects that require enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Support technology leaders with new technology designs, artifacts, etc.
  • Works with other enterprise architecture staff, experts and decision makers to accurately define end user compute and mobility requirements.
  • Applies extensive knowledge of business drivers, technology strategy and End User and Mobility architecture goals to develop and deliver clear, comprehensive, technical and solution architectures
  • Resolve architecture issues and guide application integration, architecture implementation, testing and deployment
  • Collaborate with vendor product development teams and senior designers to develop requirements to influence new features within the various toolsets

Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills essential and ability to handle competing priorities.
Experience in IT, with experience in system design.
Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information modeling methods.
Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis and design, and statistical programming languages, and database query language (SQL and NO SQL based).
Familiarity with enterprise level business intelligence and data warehousing platforms.
Understanding of basic statistics, machine learning algorithms, multivariate calculus and linear algebra.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Thought leader and expertise in the End User Compute and Mobility architecture domain
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and should have applied the framework in practice
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 application ecosystem and capabilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows endpoint management including SCCM, WSUS, Service Now or other vendor's UEM solution.
  • Experience designing and building enterprise technology solutions for End User Compute
  • Experience using Bizzdesign Architecture software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT security best practices, specifically as it relates to end user solutions
  • Experience with developing and presenting Architecture technical diagrams, reference architectures, architecture roadmaps
  • Experience gathering business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study, or equivalent project-related technical experience.
Required Certifications
Working Environment

Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.
Physical Demands
