Position summary: Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, or a related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Willingness to participate in ongoing education, training, and self-development activities required. Skills and experience: Minimum of three (3) years of proven supervisory experience required. Three (3) years of distribution or warehouse operations experience preferred. Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated commitment to achieving operational goals in a team-oriented environment. Strong computer proficiency, including experience with AS/400 shipping and inventory control systems and/or JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP modules, or a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn. Strong mathematical skills with excellent analytical and reasoning abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Essential duties: Lead and supervise employees across multiple locations and shifts. Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and productivity assessments. Coordinate receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities across all assigned locations. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations related to interstate transportation of materials. Maintain full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Partner closely with warehouse teams to drive operational efficiency and business effectiveness. Interpret, communicate, and enforce company policies, safety standards, and procedures. Determine staffing and productivity needs; provide training or retraining as required. Oversee onboarding and training of new employees and continuous development of existing staff. Recommend and initiate personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to build strong working relationships. Support and provide expertise related to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 objectives. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization. Ensure compliance with all safety rules, environmental regulations, and MSDS requirements.
