In this role, you will follow the full software lifecycle to develop, deploy, and authorize Agentic AI tools that bring new levels of automation to the Federal Government. The team will be developing products that automate data quality analysis, optimize application performance, and launch domain-specific LLMs. You will oversee the team to stand up a new environment, deploy Groundswell's proprietary apps, and follow the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable software engineering solutions within the C3 AI platform.

  • Design, build, and deliver tools and frameworks that automate data quality analysis.

  • Integrate Agentic AI capabilities into Groundswell apps and tools.

  • Collaborate with data scientists to implement AI agents.

  • Build scalable tools enabling improved developer workflows, testing, and release processes.

  • Enhance engineering and code quality best practices company wide.

  • Develop visual tools to provide visibility into code quality, test coverage, and engineering metrics.

  • Oversee RMF process to achieve ATO.

  • Work closely with product, UX, front-end, and back-end engineers.

  • Fix bugs, solve problems, and improve products proactively.

  • Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master of Science Degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of software development experience.

  • 5+ years of software development experience with Python and JavaScript.

  • Proven experience in design and development of full-stack web solutions.

  • Solid knowledge of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and web development.

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux, Vue, Angular, etc.).

  • Experience with machine learning, including deep learning algorithms.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Active Secret clearance required at time of hire. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance and complete a CI polygraph in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Must be local to the DC Metro area and able to be on-site 3-4 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering or related field.

  • Knowledge of distributed systems, TDD, SQL/NoSQL databases, and performance optimization.

  • Experience leading engineering teams and projects.

  • Experience with C3 AI platform preferred.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$89,901.00 - $175,477.00
