Security Officer - Education Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrol in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leaders while working as part of a team. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas, documenting observations according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow during arrival, dismissal, and events, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as required by site policy.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, policy violations, hazards, and incidents, and communicate information to Allied Universal management and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
