Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Hospital Entry Control in Lumberton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will support access control by welcoming visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry points, and responding to alarms and security-related concerns. You will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Control access to the facility by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing patients, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries to the appropriate destinations.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with medical staff, and completing required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive behavior, with working conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
