Airport Security - Part Time Officer

Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or badges as required by post orders, and help to deter unauthorized entry or loitering.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with airport operations and local first responders when directed.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, activity logs, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
