C2BMC Warfighter Support Analyst
Contingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a C2BMC Warfighter Support Analyst in Huntsville, AL
- In this role you will get to work with Combatant Commands regarding Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) and MDA capabilities to be delivered to Warfighters
Job Description:
- Serve as a subject matter expert, confidently representing and delivering content for the C2BMC Program Office (C2PO) during Warfighter Engagement events at various levels, including Senior Combatant Commands, Sensor Managers, and Joint Interface Control Officers. Emphasis on translating technical capabilities into operational advantages
- Leverage a comprehensive understanding of Ballistic, Advanced Threat, and Space Operations to effectively support Combatant Command staff. Focus on how these domains intersect with Missile Defense operations and C2BMC capabilities
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various Maritime and Air Operations Center Command and Control (C2) systems, including their interfaces with the Missile Defense Agency/C2PO's systems. Possess a strong understanding of C2BMC support for sensor and engagement timelines, particularly in operational contexts
- Exhibit expert-level understanding of MILSTD-6016, 3011, and 6020 standards to facilitate seamless LINK 16 operations within the Missile Defense architecture. Expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing Link 16 performance in real-world scenarios is crucial
- Provide engineering and technical expertise to MDA Missile Defense Networks, focusing on the development and deployment of robust, end-to-end, high-availability communication networks. Emphasis on ensuring seamless and reliable information sharing across all MDS assets in operational environments
- Assist the government in overseeing the Prime Contractor's development of C2BMC, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and warfighter needs. Serve as a critical interface between the developer and the user community
- Act as a strong advocate for warfighter needs during C2BMC development meetings. Ensure that operational considerations are prioritized and effectively integrated into the system's design and functionality
- Effectively manage command staff expectations regarding C2BMC capabilities and limitations, providing realistic assessments of system performance and potential impacts on operations
- Brief US and Allied Missile Defense partners during Technical Interchange and Working Group meetings, communicating complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the international Missile Defense community
- Develop facility requirements and actively participate in facility design reviews. Coordinate the installation of facility requirements, ensuring that facilities are optimized for operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct operational-level analysis of C2BMC performance in real-world environments. Clearly articulate observations to the C2PO Chief Engineer and Senior Analysts to facilitate deeper analysis and system improvements. Provide actionable insights based on operational experience
- Integrate new sensor system components into the Missile Defense System, ensuring seamless interoperability and optimal performance. Focus on the operational impact of sensor integration and its contribution to overall system effectiveness
- Clearly articulate interoperability issues to warfighters, translating technical challenges into actionable guidance for operational personnel
Qualifications:
- Must have a Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant operational experience in Missile Defense, Sensor Management, or related fields, or a bachelor's degree and 20+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have 5+ years of experience as an Operator and tactical decision-maker for Missile Defense Systems in support of U.S. and Allied forces. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on operational employment and mission execution, with demonstrated expertise in Defense Design planning.
Desired Qualifications:.
- Proven ability to interface effectively across multiple MDA and C2NT organizations, Combatant Command Staffs at all levels of military leadership, and development team members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, preferred.
- Thorough understanding of MDS data protection requirements as they apply to the Area of Responsibility supported, preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the requirements reviews and design review processes within the context of Missile Defense systems, preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of how requirements are flowed down from system specifications to element specifications, ensuring alignment with operational needs and performance expectations, preferred.
- Prior Military experience at the Combatant or Component Command Staff level, and/or experience with Tactical Missile and Air Defense systems is highly desirable. Preference given to candidates with direct operational experience in these areas, preferred.
- Deep understanding of System and Operational Interoperability as it applies to the Missile Defense System, including experience with testing and validation, preferred.
- Familiarity with Space Domain Awareness and how Missile Defense System elements support this mission area, preferred.
- Extensive experience with Tactical Data Links (Joint Range Extension Protocol (JREAP), Link 16) systems, sensor networks, MDS element integration, and network systems that support Information Exchange Requirements. Expertise in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing these systems in operational environments is highly valued, preferred.
- Demonstrated competence in using Microsoft 365 and Adobe tools to create and manage professional documents and communications. The position requires daily use of email, discussion papers, PDF files, and PowerPoint presentations, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal Travel; 10% or less
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
