Job Description

The Reactor Servicing (RS) Director Management Office (DMO) is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to bring energy and fresh ideas to project and portfolio planning efforts while contributing to the success of complex and unique national security initiatives.



As a critical member of the team, you will have the opportunity to:



Drive Results: Play a key role in managing the RS portfolio of work by supporting technical units in implementing project management principles and best practices.
Plan for Success: Develop, refine, and finalize detailed work plans and schedules that guide mission-critical tasks.
Measure and Improve: Create and maintain tools, metrics, and risk management processes to track performance to plan and enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate and Lead: Partner with Project Managers, Business Professionals, Software Developers, and leadership to prioritize workloads, deliverables, and outcomes that meet high standards of quality and timeliness.
Shape the Future: Contribute to the development and updating of the portfolio's work breakdown structure (WBS) and dictionary sheets for ongoing alignment and clarity within the team.
Foster Teamwork: Build and nurture a cooperative, team-focused environment, ensuring all collaboration leads to exceptional results.
Ensure Excellence: Review team deliverables for accurate, high-quality outputs that align with established standards, and continuously drive improvements.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience preparing project schedules, timelines, or status reports.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and MS Project .

Pay Range
$51,800.00 - $77,700.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We rely on the dedication and innovation of our nearly 8000 engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel.

FMP is a government contractor and maintains a drug free workplace and workforce. All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.
