The HR Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day diverse range of activities associated with Hilti North America's multi-landscape Human Resources Information Systems. This includes system management, Tier 2 system support, advanced level system testing, and special projects. This position serves as the cross-functional liaison with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Finance, Total Rewards, and Global IT to consult, advise, and support the processes that impact HCM.


What You'll do

Manage HRIS systems, including day-to-day transactions, position management, organization management, role management, and data integration to downstream systems
Prepare, review, and distribute offer letters to ensure accuracy and consistency
Provide support to HRP/HRBP on administrative tasks of the HR function, including transaction summary creation and processing payments in Workday
Partner with the HR business partners and Total Rewards in the execution of the Repayment process.
Research, troubleshoot, and advise HR teams and team members as Tier 2 system support
Manage mass system uploads (EIBs)
Active participant and contributor to global projects, including HRIS lead for HCM for meeting participation, contribute to solutions, analyze proposed solutions, testing, and communication planning as needed for impacts to HCM; projects may include document project, SAP decommissioning project, P11/Workday integration project, cost center consolidation project, benefits implementation project
Advanced system testing, including Unit, E2E, UAT, Parallel, research, regression, system enhancements, and troubleshooting
Collaborate, advise, and implement internal business process improvements for cross-functional teams
Basic reporting support for HR teams, including understanding data needed from requestor, data security evaluation, sourcing existing reports in HRIS system, and scheduling reports for requestor
Lead for People Experience Center and partner with cross-functional teams for bi-annual realignment process
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesion with business needs, system capability, and data accuracy
Other duties as assigned


What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, IT, or business-related field, required
Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources or HRIS, required
Strong research, critical thinking, and analytical skills, required
Strong understanding of systems and data integrity; experience in Workday, preferred
Experience with complex organizational structures, preferred
Must be able to maintain high level confidential information
Highly collaborative with the ability to execute and drive initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining focus on customer service
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
Demonstrated ability to work with others; teamwork skills
