The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of the Grants Management Office (GMO), the Grants Manager (GM) will be responsible for all aspects of sponsored research administration (pre-award, post-award, award management, and award closeout functions) for a specific portfolio of research projects within the School of Nursing (SON). On a daily basis, the GM will work closely and cooperatively with the Director of the GMO and other GMs, as well as with faculty, postdoctoral scientists, and graduate students involved in sponsored research activities within SON. Responsibilities Pre-Award: The Grants Manager will take the lead in all pre-award administrative aspects of research applications within the specified portfolio including those submitted by PhD Program students and postdocs. The GM pre-award duties include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in sponsored research administration is required. Intermediate-level computer literacy (all facets of Microsoft Office) required. Superior communication skills (written and verbal) required. Must have exceptional time-management and organization skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as be proactive and able to work independently. The ability to work with confidential data and demonstrate discretion in all interactions is required. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience in sponsored research administration is preferred. Grant writing/editing is also strongly preferred, as well as familiarity with Federal and Non-Federal sponsored research guidelines, policies, practices, funding sources, websites, and organizations.
