Job Summary:

As a Recruiter II at OpenGov, you'll help build the teams powering more effective and accountable government across the country. You'll manage full-cycle recruiting for roles across our go-to-market organization - driving a fast, thoughtful process that reflects OpenGov's values and high bar for talent.

You'll partner closely with hiring managers, collaborate with senior recruiters, and operate with speed, rigor, and precision to identify, engage, and close top talent. This is an opportunity to grow your impact as a recruiter while contributing directly to OpenGov's mission and culture of excellence.

Responsibilities:

Full-Cycle Recruitment:

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for assigned roles (primarily individual contributor and early-career positions).

  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to understand role requirements and success profiles.

  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates, driving an efficient process from outreach to offer.

  • Maintain accurate data and reporting in Ashby (ATS) to support visibility into pipelines and performance.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to align on expectations, process, and candidate experience.
    Support Senior Recruiters and Recruiting Leadership on priority searches and hiring initiatives.

  • Communicate progress and challenges clearly, escalating when alignment or decision velocity is needed.

Sourcing and Talent Pipelining:

  • Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Ashby, and referrals.

  • Build and maintain talent pools for frequently hired roles.

  • Contribute to market mapping and competitive research to inform search strategy.

Candidate Experience:

  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience that reflects OpenGov's mission and values.

  • Ensure timely follow-up, clear communication, and strong representation of OpenGov's brand at every stage.

  • Use sound judgment to assess candidate fit and alignment to OpenGov's high-performance culture.

Operational Excellence:

  • Uphold recruiting data integrity in all systems to enable reliable analytics and dashboards.

  • Execute recruiting processes with discipline, speed, and compliance with applicable laws and company policy.

  • Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and consistency across the team.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (preferably Ashby) and sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously with precision and urgency.

  • Excellent phone and video presence and ability to qualify talent effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Growth mindset with openness to feedback and a passion for continuous learning.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $93,500

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
