Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amountproratedfor Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6monthsseparation from employment.

Full time, 36hrs

Night Shift6:30pm - 7:00am

Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist role performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients to aid physicians/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalitiesof the cardiovascular system, under supervision of the physician/advanced practicepractitioner.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)


  1. Education:Graduate from AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapyrequired.
  2. License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care, RRT, or CRRTrequired. Current BLS certificationrequired. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certificationsrequiredor mustobtainwithin one year of start date or according to department guidelines.
  3. Experience:One year of acute care experience preferred.
