A Day In The Life: The Strategic Sourcing Analyst - Regional Operations is an integral member of Bunge's procurement team, supporting sourcing activities within a specific geographic region. The individual demonstrates a high level of professionalism, prioritizing data-driven decisions, keeping the customer at the forefront, and proactively gaining insight into the global strategy. This role requires an individual with intermediate knowledge in procurement and basic knowledge of related disciplines, capable of working under limited supervision for routine situations. Responsibilities include the execution of main sourcing activities, participation in small projects, and contributing to process improvements to ensure alignment with departmental strategy. The Analyst will handle routine to moderately complex problems, supporting the delivery of solutions and communicating information that requires some explanation or interpretation. What You'll Be Doing: * Regional Sourcing Strategies: o Gather and analyze market data, supplier information, and industry trends to support the development of regional sourcing strategies aligned with overall business objectives. o Track, analyze, and report on strategy implementation progress and performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement and contributing to data-driven procurement decisions. o Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) to support in-depth analysis and reporting for assigned subcategories. * Sourcing & Contracting Activities: o Actively participate in and execute steps within the 7-step sourcing process, demonstrating an understanding and application of each stage. o Evaluate proposals and supplier scorecards, contributing to informed supplier selection under the guidance of senior team members. o Support the administration of the defined Procurement approval process, ensuring compliance with the Global Procurement Policy for all sourcing activities. o Coordinate contracting activities, monitor stakeholder contract compliance, and support corrective actions to ensure favorable terms and adherence. o Contribute to efforts driving cost efficiencies and achieving savings targets through effective sourcing practices and negotiation support. * Global Category Team Support: o Ensure local relevance and effectiveness of global strategies. o Participate in global sourcing initiatives as directed, representing regional perspectives and requirements. o Support regional/country stakeholders in aligning with global strategies, facilitating effective implementation and communication. * Collaboration: o Coordinate sourcing activities across assigned locations and stakeholder groups, fostering seamless execution and information flow. o Collaborate with peers to identify and leverage Bunge's spend opportunities effectively, contributing to synergistic procurement efforts. o Maintain and update the regional supplier database, including service portfolios, KPIs, and performance reviews. o Support Regional/Country Stakeholder Relationship Management and mapping efforts, building strong internal partnerships. o Participate in cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers, contributing to performance discussions. o Collaborate with Finance, Sustainability, and other functional areas to ensure integrated procurement solutions. * Stakeholder Management: o Act as a point of contact for the business regarding regional and local sourcing queries and initiatives. o Support stakeholders in understanding and adhering to procurement processes and compliance requirements. o Support the completion and maintenance of detailed stakeholder mapping, ensuring comprehensive engagement. o Contribute to the alignment of action plans with Key Stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives. * Supplier Management: o Manage commercial supplier relationships and contracts for assigned categories, fostering productive partnerships. o Track the performance of key strategic suppliers, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing successful collaboration. o Participate in supplier development activities and cross-functional review meetings, contributing to supplier performance optimization. o Identify potential contract improvement opportunities, ensuring continuous value creation. o Support the risk management evaluation process, contributing to robust supplier selection and management. Skills/Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field * 3 plus years of progressive experience in procurement or a related field * Intermediate knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, procurement processes, and contract management. * Proficiency in gathering and analyzing market data, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting. * Familiarity with ERP systems and e-sourcing platforms (e.g., SAP). * Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder and supplier engagement. * Ability to interpret and apply internal and external policies, laws, and regulations related to procurement. * Basic understanding of financial principles and their impact on sourcing decisions.
