Position: Laboratory Billing Coordinator Department: Laboratory Administration Schedule: Full TimePOSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Laboratory Administrative Director and the Manager of Laboratory Revenue Integrity, the Laboratory Billing and Information Systems Coordinator assists in administrative operations with the laboratory information system and hospital information system and optimizes hospital reimbursement by ensuring complete and accurate information is available for billing for laboratory services. EDUCATION: Associate's degree (or equivalent combination of formal education and experience) in Health Information Management, nursing, a medical coding or healthcare related field, preferred. Bachelor's degree is a plus. EXPERIENCE: At least three years' experience with ICD coding process and diagnostic codes in an acute care hospital setting. Prefer coding experience in a laboratory medicine environment. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Compensation Range: $22.36- $31.25This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
