Position Title: FULL STACK DEVELOPER

Position Summary: In this role, you will be participating in the full development life cycle of software solutions including designing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting in addition to maintaining existing programs. You will be expected to implement designs by utilizing development languages and tools as per design specifications, routine review of solutions, suggest aesthetic improvements, and participate in project status meetings. You are also required to work closely with subject matter experts to understand the requirements to implement different tasks. The full stack developer will be required to see a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Reports To: Director of IT

Personnel: Not applicable.

Accountabilities: Accountable for understanding and following all SOPs and WIs related to job duties.

Authorities: Not applicable.

Duties:

  • Designing user interfaces.
  • Developing back-end applications.
  • Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices.
  • Responsible for application performance and tuning.
  • Responsible for project execution from conception to finished product.
  • Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.
  • Support network and database administrators as needed.
  • Maintaining and upgrading in-house programs.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Educational Experience - Degree in Computer Science is preferred.

  • Experience -
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS (preferred), React and Amber.
    • Proficiency with languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and/or .Net.
    • Familiarity with database technology such as MS SQL and Oracle.
    • Gupta/OpenText experience a plus.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail.

Physical Demands - The employee is required to:

  • stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor
  • exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Certification Required - None required.

Visual Acuity - Accommodations as required for reading computer screens and documents.

Hearing Ability - Accommodations as required for communicating with internal and external customers.

Working Conditions - Normally works in an office environment. Occasionally the employee is subject to

  • shop floor environment
  • high noise levels from operating machines
  • physical hazards from moving equipment and production components
  • breathing fumes, dust and mist
  • skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
  • welding flashes

The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

Attendance is an essential job function.
