Roswell, NM- Whey Foreperson

Leprino, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Whey Foreperson to join our team located in Roswell, NM. Leprino is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. Our customers and business partners span the globe and include many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains and distributors.

The Whey Foreperson directly monitors the manufacturing process from whey separation to packaging. Monitors in-process test results and adjusts as necessary to ensure product is within designated specifications. Monitors CIP of equipment to ensure proper clean-up. Assures that plant sanitation standards are always maintained. Oversee entire production floor, ensuring efficient operation. Ensures that work is performed in a safe manner. Performs other duties as requested by the supervisor. Maintains a clean environment, adhering to all the GMP's, SOP's, and Critical Control Points pertaining to Food Safety and USDA regulations.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $29.52 and 29.86.In addition, anight shift premium of $1.25 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

• Understand whey separation, ultrafiltration evaporation and drying principles and procedures.
• Ability to understand automatic control systems.
• Knowledge of GMP and sanitation principles; ability to enforce and maintain them.
• Understand CIP systems and CIP chemicals (use and safe handling).
• Ability to maintain safety standards and principles during shift.
• Ability to delegate as necessary.
• Ability to react to situations in a timely manner to minimize downtime & losses.
• Ability to maintain or exceed plant, company and customer quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.
• Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy

  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders (Inclined/Vertical), reach and have full extension overhead and forward. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, lay on stomach, bend, twist, rotate neck, arms, wrists, and hands.
  • Standing and walking are required throughout the shift.
