Appraisal Vendor Manager

Our client is a nationwide provider of appraisal, verification, quality control and technology services to lenders across the country. They have created and implemented processes and software tools which allow their customers to significantly increase their closing ratios and profitability.

Currently, they are looking to bring on board a Vendor Manager with experience managing appraisals within the mortgage industry. This will be a 100% REMOTE position!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of individuals at multiple sites
  • Ensure suppliers/appraisers deliver appraisals daily that are high quality and on-time
  • Proactively manages key performance indicators and influence changes through communication forums with suppliers/appraisers
  • Track and take appropriate action on supplier complaints and other issues requiring remediation.
  • Manages an audit-ready, controlled environment that is compliant with all legal, regulatory and policies
  • Regularly reports team results and status on key initiatives to management
  • Drives change within teams and with third party providers of Valuation products
  • Partners with other leaders in Collateral Valuations Group, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Controls, Risk, Sales, Operations Partners, Vendor Management, Third Party Oversight, and Sourcing to produce required results.
  • Conduct RFI's and RFP's to ensure use of the highest quality providers.

Required Qualification, Skills:
  • 3+ years' experience in mortgage banking
  • 2+ years' total experience working with appraisals in the appraisal industry or in the mortgage industry.
  • 2+ years of experience managing direct engagement appraisers and AMCs
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to lead and drive changes with focus on process and quality improvement.
  • The ability to perform and multi-task in a fast paced, high production environment
  • Strong understanding of appraisal laws, regulations, GSE, and FHA requirements.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
