The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program in Owosso seeks a qualified and motivated Clinical Coordinator to support excellence in clinical education. The Clinical Coordinator for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program serves as the primary liaison between Baker College and affiliated clinical sites, developing new partnerships and maintaining existing relationships to support high-quality clinical education and effective student placement. Under the supervision of the Program Director, this role coordinates all aspects of clinical instruction and student placement while supporting student achievement through program-specific instruction, advising, orientation, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of student progress in the clinical setting. Responsibilities include maintaining regular communication with the Clinical Instructors to ensure compliance with learning objectives and site contracts, managing required documentation for student placement and evaluation, ensuring completion of PPE requirements, and evaluating and approving waiver hours based on relevant student work experience. The Clinical Coordinator conducts onsite clinical visits, facilitates student advising, contributes to continuous program improvement through curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation support. Additional duties include teaching assigned courses, attending system meetings, and maintaining professional expertise, ethical standards, and all required academic and professional credentials to ensure compliance with college and accreditation requirements. A bachelor's degree in a related field with appropriate credentials, including RDMS (AB and OB) or RT(S), is preferred; an associate's degree in a related field with appropriate credentials, including RDMS (AB and OB) or RT(S), is required. A minimum of five years of experience in general ultrasound is preferred, along with familiarity with online education platforms and a willingness to travel. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
