The Student Disability Access Center {SDAC) at the University of Virginia strives to build an equitable academic experience for students with disabilities and provide creative solutions to any physical, digital, and attitudinal barriers. SDAC works to empower students with disabilities by taking a proactive approach to providing accommodations, working relationships with faculty, educational workshops, assistive technology, and collaboration across the university community. The Assistant Director for Accessible Media and Technology of Student Disability Services will report to an Associate Director of the Student Disability Access Center. With the guidance of the SDAC Leadership Team, this role assists in ensuring compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act {1990), as amended. The Assistant Director of SDAC will serve as a resource for the campus community on accessibility- related matters. Responsibilities include:

Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Three years of instructional computing experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. About the Position The anticipated hiring range for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job will occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs. This position cannot sponsor cases for immigration now or in the future.
