Anesthesia Technician 1 Job Responsibilities:
- Assists and anticipates needs of Anesthesiologist in invasive monitor insertion and procedures such as pulmonary artery catheter, central venous access, fiberoptic intubation and difficult airway situations per hospital policy.
- Demonstrates detailed technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability for anesthesia delivery systems, gas analyzer, EKG and pulse oximeter per manufacture guidelines.
- Prepares and assembles all necessary supplies and equipment for auto-transfusion and rapid infusion under the direction of the anesthesia provider. Maintains quality control records, cart inventories and audits per OSHA and TJC standards and hospital policies.
- Performs manufacturer recommended daily anesthesia machine checks according to Standard Work Document.
- Assists in preparation and draping of the patient for invasive monitoring procedures by the anesthesia care provider.
- Assists with the correct application of monitoring devices. Manages fluid and blood/blood product administration.
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Years of Experience: 6 months -- one year in a Clinical Environment Certification: Basic Life Support via America Heart Association
