Site Merchandise Manager

Location: Denver, CO; hybrid (onsite T, W, H)

About the Role

We're looking for a Site Merchandiser to own the onsite shopping experience for our ecommerce channel. You'll be responsible for driving product discovery, conversion, and revenue through thoughtful assortment presentation, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who blends analytical rigor with a strong eye for brand storytelling in an outdoor context.

Key Responsibilities



  • Own the end-to-end onsite merchandising strategy across homepage, category pages, collections, search, and campaigns
  • Optimize product assortment, ranking, and navigation to improve conversion rate, AOV, and revenue
  • Lead seasonal launches, new arrivals, and promotional merchandising strategies
  • Analyze product and site performance using Excel, analytics tools, and internal dashboards to identify trends and opportunities. Anticipate potential risks and opportunities and escalate insights proactively
  • Transform product and site performance data into clear business recommendations and prioritized actionable insights that improve performance
  • Build and maintain Excel-based reporting tools and templates for weekly and seasonal performance tracking
  • Execute and monitor onsite pricing, tracking, and maintenance for seasonal sale events and transitions
  • Maintain deep understanding of the product catalog and inventory position to inform merchandising strategy and product prioritization across the site
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, Planning, and Tech teams to execute campaigns and site updates
  • Collaborate with Site Operations, Digital Technology, and developers to launch and optimize site features
  • Ensure site content aligns with brand positioning, storytelling, and outdoor customer needs (seasonality, activities, climate, regions)
  • Partner with SEO to enhance search performance and drive conversion and sales
  • Manage customer ratings, reviews, and onsite user-generated content
  • Maintain site accuracy including product data, pricing, categorization, and inventory visibility
  • Develop and test merchandising hypotheses (e.g., badging, sort, pricing presentation) and measure impact
  • Monitor and review competitive trends / best practices


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of ecommerce or digital merchandising experience, preferably in apparel, footwear, or outdoor brands
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas (XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP), data cleaning, and reporting automation with large data sets. Candidates should be comfortable completing practical Excel assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, sell-through, inventory health)
  • Experience merchandising large product catalogs / data sets and seasonal assortments
  • Familiarity with CMS and ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or similar)
  • Experience working with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners

  • Experience with A/B testing tools (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, etc.)
  • BI tool experience (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with AI-driven product recommendation, search and merchandising tools (Constructor.io, Bloomreach, etc)

This position is full-time employment at $85,000 to $105,000 USD annually.
