What You'll Do:Master the Airway: Perform endotracheal intubations and manage airways in a variety of scenarios - from routine to complex. Venous Access Pro: You'll gain proficiency in securing venous access through peripheral and central routes. Be a Pre-Op and Post-Op Pro: Conduct detailed physical assessments, evaluations, and follow-up visits, ensuring patients are ready and recovering safely. Monitor Like a Pro: Track and maintain normal physiological values during anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence. Regional Block Expert: Perform and monitor a variety of regional blocks throughout surgeries. Tech Savvy: Utilize and manage anesthetic monitoring equipment to track critical data. Accurate and Detailed Documentation: Ensure every anesthetic record is spot-on and billing is on track. Never Stop Learning: Engage in continuous education to build expertise and stay ahead in your field. What You'll Need to Shine:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a nursing diploma with a science-related degree. RN License: Must hold a Missouri RN license (or compact license with Missouri eligibility). Critical Care Experience: At least one year of experience in a critical care setting. Advanced Skills: Ready to perform nasal/oral intubations, fiber optic intubations, central venous and arterial lines, regional blocks, and chronic pain management. Communication Skills: You'll need strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with patients and your team. Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be completed before your third semester and maintained throughout the program.
