DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Unified Communications Specialist, you will participate in providing outstanding technical and administrative support of voice infrastructure and associated technologies. Our team will rely on your knowledge and experience to support a wide array of technologies including A/V Conference Room Equipment, VOIP, unified communications, mobile devices, and analog lines.

You will independently and collaboratively the install, configure, troubleshoot, and test hardware and software. Responsibilities involve responding to, evaluating, and determining the proper course of action for agency and end user requests. This includes implementing repair timelines, coordinating activities of multiple vendors, and following up with users to verify functionality and ensure work has been satisfactorily completed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days a week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Network Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; or
  • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement:

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
