SCOPE OF POSITION: The Program Assistant supports the camp's mission and daily operations by fostering Christian faith, discipleship, and positive relationships with campers and staff. This role provides supervision, encouragement, and accountability to assigned staff, including leading weekly devotions, submitting evaluations, and modeling Christ-like behavior. The Program Assistant actively participates in camp programs, ensures safety and policy compliance, completes required documentation, and assists with medical coordination when needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, supporting staff care initiatives, and performing other duties as assigned by camp leadership. MISCELLANEOUS: The Salvation Army does have a dress code. This will be shared with you at the time of employment. The candidate chosen for this position must have a valid driver's license, have an acceptable driving record. The candidate will be required to pass a motor vehicle record check and the TSA Motor Vehicle training. High School or Equivalent (required)
Experience
Capable of obtaining AED, Red Cross or equivalent CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
Must be at least 18 years of age. (required) At least 2 seasons of summer camp experience or 1 year in equivalent youth work experience required. (required) Licenses & Certifications
