Toppan Merrill has an exciting opportunity for a XBRL Financial Analyst to join our St Paul, MN team. You will be a subject matter expert who prepares financial documents for regulatory filings and stakeholder communications. You will provide expertise and market knowledge to our clients while staying ahead of changing regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in technical accounting
  • Conduct training and support sessions for client teams who utilize our proprietary software solution
  • Provide guidance and technical consultation to clients on XBRL mapping and tagging of their financial disclosures using US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) or ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) taxonomies
  • Produce and prepare financial statements for client companies in the SEC required format
  • Manage workflow, communication, and timelines on multiple, concurrent projects
  • Collaborate with other professional service teams to ensure success of the client project
  • Continuous learning. Keeps up to date with regulatory changes affecting financial disclosure requirements
  • Other interesting and ad hoc assignments as required
  • Some limited client travel opportunities may be required

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with desired major in accounting
  • 2+ years of minimum accounting experience; preferably in a financial reporting or auditing role. 5+ years preferred.
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA preferred
