Benefits Manager

Location: Newington, NH (Onsite)

Compensation: $135,000-$140,000 base + 10% bonus

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, design, and day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys owning programs end-to-end while partnering closely with HR leadership, Finance, brokers, and vendors.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Benefits Manager will ensure our benefits offerings are competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals-while delivering an excellent employee experience.

This role is 100% onsite at our Newington, NH facility.

What You'll Do



  • Own the full lifecycle administration of all employee benefit programs, serving as the internal subject matter expert and escalation point.
  • Lead open enrollment from strategy through execution, including employee communications, vendor coordination, system configuration, and carrier file management.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, DOL), including required documentation and filings such as Form 5500.
  • Manage benefits within the HRIS, partnering with IT, vendors, and carriers to implement changes, automate feeds, and conduct audits.
  • Oversee vendor and carrier relationships, monitor performance, and manage benefit payments and reconciliations against budget.
  • Partner with the VP of HR on 401(k) governance, committee support, and annual filings.
  • Design, implement, and optimize competitive benefits programs in collaboration with brokers and consultants.
  • Analyze benefits data, costs, and market trends to deliver actionable insights and cost-management recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver clear employee communications, presentations, and training materials.
  • Lead and mentor benefits team members while continuously improving processes, metrics, and controls.
  • Drive benefits-related projects and initiatives that support talent attraction, retention, and engagement.



What We're Looking For



  • 5+ years of benefits management experience required (8+ years preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in benefits management
  • Experience designing and managing cost-efficient domestic and global benefits programs, including self-insured and ICHRA plans
  • Deep knowledge of health & welfare benefits, retirement plans, disability, wellness programs, and leave policies
  • Strong financial and analytical skills; actuarial experience is a plus
  • Advanced understanding of benefits regulations and compliance requirements (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, DOL, tax laws)
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
  • HRIS benefits administration experience required; Paycom preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information
