This is an exciting opportunity for a talented User Experience Designer to join a dynamic team at a leading financial services organization, dedicated to empowering individuals and businesses through innovative digital experiences. You'll play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and coherent online experiences for millions of users, making a tangible impact on how they interact with essential financial tools and information. Your creativity and expertise will directly shape the digital landscape, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional user experiences across all public-facing platforms.

**What You'll Do:**

You will be instrumental in building and evolving a robust digital design system, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional user experiences across all public-facing platforms. Your work will directly contribute to streamlining development processes and enhancing user satisfaction by creating reusable patterns and components.

* Design dynamic, interactive digital experiences and web applications (e.g., lead generation forms, calculators) with a keen eye on mobile and small-screen requirements.

* Build new design system components and enhance existing ones using Figma.

* Develop comprehensive documentation to support development, provide system user guidance, and create authoring guides for successful implementation of components and design patterns.

* Work both independently and collaboratively, actively incorporating feedback from fellow designers and developers on design decisions.

* Adhere to established protocols for component design, file organization, and brand guidelines.

* Collaborate closely with front-end developers to bring your designs to life.

* Partner with User Experience Researchers to test designs and components with end users.

* Champion the adoption and evolution of the digital design system across various internal teams and external partners.

**Required Qualifications:**

* Five or more years of relevant experience as a User Experience Designer or in a related role.

* Familiarity with working on a digital design system and a strong understanding of atomic-based design principles.

* Proficiency in Figma, including the ability to create components and document your work effectively within the platform.

* In-depth knowledge of core design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and composition.

* Experience with project management tools like Jira and working within agile product delivery teams to meet sprint deadlines.

* Solid understanding of current web accessibility standards.

* A self-starter who can lead discovery work for new design patterns and experiences across multiple channels, including web, email, and mobile applications.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Familiarity with content management systems.

* Detail-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly articulating design ideas and rationale verbally and in writing to developers, other designers, marketers, and decision-makers.

* Ability to effectively receive feedback and adapt designs quickly when needed.

* Experience using data and user experience research to inform and iterate on design decisions.

* Comfortable working within a distributed team structure that operates collaboratively towards unified objectives within the same workflow.
