Department Summary

Personalized Healthcare Solutions (PHCS) is central to Roche's approach and has played a key role in our advancements across the patient journey. PHCS partners with Pharmaceutical companies to develop customized assays/solutions for value-based, outcome-driven therapeutic strategies. The

best oncology drugs in the world are most effective only when we link them to the right patients, at the right time. For over a decade, Roche has been at the forefront of personalized healthcare, working to support the medical field as it trends toward patient centricity.

This internship position is located in Tucson, Arizona, on-site.

The Opportunity

  • You will be involved in digital image workflow automation and process improvement activities

  • You will use brightfield microscopes and scanners to generate and analyze images from the stained slides

  • You will organize, access, and digitally analyze the stained images in the image viewing

  • platform

  • During the internship you will have the opportunity to participate in internship networking activities such as: workshops with leaders in the organization, our mentor program, and our Poster Symposium among other activities

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in June (Summer)

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are

Required Education:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

Required Majors: Engineering or a biomedical background with technical focus

Required Skills:

  • Experience in data analysis or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or other programming language

  • Experience in working with and debugging mechanical systems

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is $45.00 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
