FTE: 0.6, Shift: Day, Schedule: Variable For additional information, please contact carolyn.brightharp@multicare.org #LI-CB1 Position Summary Pediatric Psychologists at Mary Bridge Children's focus on assessing and treating the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents with chronic and complex medical conditions. Psychologists work collaboratively with medical teams to implement screening and prevention strategies, improve health outcomes and clarify additional behavioral and developmental needs for pediatric patients facing significant medical challenges. Psychologists are assigned to multiple subspecialty clinics to serve as behavioral consultants and will divide their time between subspecialty medical clinics and an outpatient psychology setting.Responsibilities*Conduct psychological assessments to identify factors impacting response to medical care. *Provide brief behavioral interventions to improve treatment adherence and modify maladaptive behaviors impacting patient health. *Develop and implement screening protocols to stratify patient populations by risk level using empirically supported measures. *Create integrated care plans for patients that address both physical and mental health. *Offer psychoeducation and support to youth and their families regarding effective strategies to adapt and cope with stress associated with managing chronic illness. *Provide consultation services to medical providers and their clinic teams regarding the psychological, developmental and behavioral factors impacting patient outcomes. *Collaborate with Clinical Social Workers, resource navigators and community agencies to improve patient access to mental health services in the community. *Utilize telehealth services to expand access to care for patients and families. *Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in pediatric psychology as a content expert within the Children's Hospital. *Completes clinical documentation in Epic in a timely and accurate manner. *Maintains license and appropriate continuing education. *Adheres to MHS Attendance and Punctuality Policy and Procedure standards, and maintains reliable attendance Requirements *Ph.D., or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field from an APA/CPA accredited training program. *Successful completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in an appropriate area of specialization. *Formal post-doctoral training in Clinical Child and Adolescent or Pediatric Psychology. *Experience working in a pediatric medical setting *Licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist in the State of Washington *BLS Certification Why MultiCare?
Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $133,400.00 - $153,200.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
