Summary: We're looking for a skilled Category Manager to join our growing team in Amesbury, MA, supporting the region in optimizing regional and global supply chains for Munters unique air-treatment products and processes using Munters best practices and formats.

25% domestic and international travel to evaluate supplier accounts and regional Munters sites.

Job Description:

  • Optimize regional and global supply chains for Munters unique air-treatment products and processes using Munters best practices and formats.

  • Drive category strategy and related projects for the Metal and Core category with the help of internal users and external suppliers.

  • Support and optimize production and supply chains within the Americas region for the Metal and Core category.

  • Follow category market trends and negotiate supplier agreements.

  • Develop Best Country Cost (BCCs) strategies.

  • Responsible for selecting suppliers after carefully assessing suitability for the Metal and Metal Part category Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) development.

  • Meet save targets for the category in the Americas region.

  • Run dedicated Cost Out Projects (COP) in selected categories.

  • Run value analysis and cost breakdowns in accordance with Munters Category programs and standards.

  • Construct and negotiate supply contracts based on Munters requirements.

  • Outline and run dedicated regional and global category wave project in accordance with Munters Category Program, along with outlining category strategies and global/regional synergies between the global sourcing team.

  • Tailor and optimize regional/global supply chains for new product introductions and intercompany product transfers.

  • Support Munters growth and efficiency programs outlined in company strategy.

  • Responsible for the unification of category process work within the Munters organization.

  • Train and educate local teams consisting of Sourcing, Product Management, R&D and Engineering in best practices to secure global/regional/national supplier consolidations.

  • Support buyer activities and enforce Munters contract alignment in accordance with Munters Global Category Process and Sourcing Standards.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Relations

Minimum Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a Category Manager, Materials Manager or related position in procurement, vendor selection and management, vendor quality system with an air-treatment or industrial manufacturing environment.
