Technical Customer Support Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Provide application support for custom product development
  • Provide complex technical application assistance to identify modified and engineered solutions based on customer specifications and application requirements
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Issue complex quotes based on customer specification, application requirements, costing and manufacturability
  • Ability to process incoming custom orders
  • Lead key accounts assigned - coordinate build and shipment schedules, tracking/proof of delivery, collaborate with multiple functional areas to resolve quality issues, proactively communicate with customers and resolving conflicts to ensure customers' expectations are met
  • Works with sales, marketing, production, shipping and other operating functions regarding product, delivery or service matters
  • Ability to lead scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
  • Maintain a high level of performance by meeting team critical metric goals
  • Will be required to perform additional duties as assigned

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ideally 5+ years of customer service, quotations, or technical support - call center and/or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the technical strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying root causes of problems/issues by asking probing questions and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution
  • Demonstrated skill in managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment in a self-directed manner
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships across functional area
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with people at all levels within the organization and outside the organization

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
