You Are: UST is searching for a Technical Lead who will support system architects with the design of the overall architecture of a specific product/application; applies principles that promote availability, reusability, interoperability, and security into the design framework. The opportunity: * Performs development, optimization, and automation activities to support the implementation of a product/application. * Increases proficiency and understanding of relational and non-relational databases, distributed application architectures, user interfaces and user experience, quality assurance, security concerns, and business value creation. * Adopts engineering best practices to deliver higher quality and scalable solutions. * Provides the team with the development strategy, solution recommendations, and estimates for a given product/application. * Participates in scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospective, showcases/demos, stand-ups, backlog refinement, etc.). * Creates and executes unit tests which validate the code changes made to support the implementation of a user story. This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. What you need: * Minimum 8 years' experience in performing Web and UI development using JavaScript, C#. * Strong understanding with the .NET framework 4.x and later, and corresponding namespaces. * Working knowledge of Web Services, REST, SOAP, and XML technologies. * Experience with writing microservices and containers in the Azure environment. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines. * Experience building and developing business applications. * Must possess a strong understanding of the software development process. * Strong knowledge of object oriented concepts. * Strong knowledge and experience working with databases. * Strong verbal and written communication skills; and ability to communicate to both technical and Business audiences. * Demonstrated ability to execute against iteration plans and deliver assignments within scope, schedule, and budget. * Good to have experience in; * Integrating an application with other applications using SOA/web services. * Application development in Java, JavaScript, .Net, Angular. * Working knowledge of databases (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle etc.). * Programming with related technology such as XML, Java, various JavaScript frameworks, mobile application development, SQL queries, and database schema design Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below. Role Location: Washington Compensation Range : $109,000-$164,000 Benefits Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico. Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
