This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities: The Senior FP&A Specialist supports cost analysis and financial planning activities for their assigned function/organization,assistingin budgeting and forecasting processes, and contributing to data-driven decision-making to improve financial performance of the specific function.

The work location for this role: Auburn Hills, MI is the preferred location for this role. Remote candidates who are located near Cary, NC or Atlanta, GA will be considered.

Core Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Review and analyze transactions to ensure correct accounting entries according to ABB Accounting and Reporting Guidelines

• Performing controls within your area as designed, whilemaintaininga proper audit trail and documentation for future audits and reviews, ensure SOPs are prepared and updated

• Active participation in closing processes(performing journal entries, reviewallocatedcost and preparing reports)

• Supportin the preparation of financial reporting, business planning,budgetingand forecasting

• Continuous analysis of project performance versus budget and actual, and highlight/issue early warning of poor results.

• Account Reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts

• Cost center expense tracking analysis and Manager support / training

• Prepares financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact to the business unit

• Identifyprocess inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance the accuracy of financial analysis and reporting

• Other regular financial reporting and ad hoc work as requested weekly/daily from Local BU Controller

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred but will consider equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of FP&A and business process
• 5+ years' relevant experience in finance, controllership and accounting leadership, preferably in a similar industry (automation, industrial manufacturing, operations, etc.)
• Experience with finance tools and systems including process improvement; SAP experience preferred
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills
• Change management experience and lead by influence; ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize tasks
• Ability and desire to work within a global, matrixed environment highly preferred
