Get to Know Your Team:

• UT Health Carthage boasts 23 private patient rooms featuring a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, a GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.

• Coordinates and administers care to a unit specific patient population utilizing a collaborative,multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/herillness or condition.
• Provides clinical supervision to the clinical, professional, and auxiliary staff toensure the continuous delivery of quality patient care.Works cooperatively with appropriatemedical staff to ensure accomplishment of hospital and departmental goals.
• Manages departmentalactivities in accordance with hospital and departmental policy and ensures that care is deliveredconsistent with physician's orders and treatment protocols.
• Oversees the implementation of a planof care appropriate to each patient's needs.

Job Requirements:

• Degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Two years ofinpatient/acute care nursing experience.
• One Year of Charge Nurse experience.
