RN - Gastroenterology Physician Practice Job Ref: 33431 Category: Nursing Location: 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742 Department: Dowd Practice Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day shift Hours: 8am-4:30pm Pay Range: $32.00 - $55.00 per hour Job Summary Reporting to the Practice Manager, Gastroenterology, and with clinical oversight from Physicians, the nurse acts as a clinical resource to the Office Staff and the GI Clinical Provider team. This includes responding to telephone calls from patients and staff relating to clinical issues, as well as being an information conduit between staff and physicians and other clinicians. The triage nurse will assist with pre-procedure calls, assess patient symptoms and needs, provide medical advice based on clinical protocols and guidelines, determine urgency of patient conditions and recommend appropriate care levels, and provide patient education on how best to manage health conditions at home. Minimum Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or the equivalent in experience o Minimum of one year experience as a Home Health nurse preferred o Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in Massachusetts o Current knowledge of home care nursing practices o Ability to respond to rapid changes in patient scheduling. o Ability to work effectively as team member o Excellent customer service skills relating to physicians, clinicians, patients and families o Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills. o Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. o Excellent organizational skills. o Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. o Ability to maintain confidential information.
